Stornoway Bowling Club

The game and sport of bowls is worldwide and inclusive of young and old. This was clearly demonstrated at the 2023 island games in Guernsey where young and not so young performed and represented the Western Isles family of bowls.We need men and women of all generations to take up bowling and not be hindered by the old adage that bowls is an old person’s game. We have just celebrated our first centenary (1922-2022), and another 100 years is achievable if we put our minds to it.Too many organisations have ceased due to lack of continuity by the younger generation but it is my firm belief that we should not let this happen to our noble game of bowls.So come along, enjoy bowls, join a club in your locality over the winter months. Join the Stornoway club for all year bowling.
